I have a domain registered for many months now and email works perfectly. When I enter this address into the form at Apple to create a new Apple ID I get a 'Enter a valid email address to use as your Apple ID.' (And the FAQ link on that page doesn't answer the question. It just gets me away from the form ) Update 1: This isn't very helpful: Based on one or two posts I've read, there are certain e-mail addresses Apple doesn't recognize/accept. Update 2: Searching (on Google) for this error message shows 2 pages.
2nd page with only 1 result. This question here is on the first page. Never used it with Apple. When I use an address from another Apple ID account I get the error message 'This email address is not available. Choose a different address.' After entering it and before submitting the form. Same error message when I use the additional email address for that account.
'Enter a valid email address to use as your Apple ID.' Is shown after submitting the form with a half a year old domain. Changed the local-part (before the @) and got the same error message. OK, I've given up. Set up another address for one domain I registered last century. This time it's accepted. Sigh.
